[Corporate leadership a new entertainment repertoire]

'Pray a prayer that luck by chance can hop into, not a prayer that hog doable out of its untroubled corner'[1]. Every relationship meets its growth and growth hates meeting maturity because it kills fun and freedom, that's why whenever we get serious then things start falling apart. That's exactly the reason why business leaders invests in fun team activities.

The wellness of any team spells out the relationship status with its leaders. A leader of today needs popularity tactics in order to run a well oiled machine. Gone are the praises of a rigid leader and in is the appraisal to an entertainer in the space to keep the team motivated and dedicated to the course. As a leader of this day you ought to be flexible and be enabling.

The corporate world setup isn't what it used to be, and to be reliant on business school teachings of yesteryears not going to earn you any growth. What the corporate leadership has shifted to is into performance, people-centricality charisma, and anything else that makes you visible, reachable, human enough, for both your team and your external ones. If you choose to be otherwise then your entity will choke. The day's game is about populist approach, people warm up to those.

In conclusion: the C-suit level is slowly getting reserved for attention stars, and to make the cut have to possess the new set of the day's order skills. It's no secret that for you to succeed in that space got to leave your old self in order to be the new self so as to fit. Leaders are now stars of self first before anyone in their team could be their stars.

Corporate leaders are now celebrated in social media space and if aren't in line with the wave won't catch the flow. Social media skills are more important than ever today as they are critical for your leadership success. Funny enough, this used to be applicable to certain industries and but now an influence factor. The message in the bottle is simple to get: "get with the program or risk losing position to an entertainer; nothing more and nothing less" and no in-betweener there...dp

[The odd presenter out]

'It takes a million people to build a good reputation; but it takes one stupid fool to destroy everything they’ve done….’ How disappointing! Lost? Then try figure this one out:

_This is a sad and bitter narrative about me and you

Many of our locals leave the so-called ‘small and sleepy towns’ for city life in seek of better prospects. What I ask myself though, is that, where they originate from as home, don’t they have opportunities presenting themselves or presented to those left behind? Or is it a case of small towns failing to create opportunities for their residents and for those leaving?

So, not long ago or should I say a few years back, there was a presentation for businesspersons at Lebowakgomo Civic Centre hall about opportunities that are out there for business ideas to come to life, through loans and mentorship that is. What they offered was good but not a permanent and peaceful solution for start-ups out there unfortunately. This does not mean I promote laziness or something along those lines, just that there should be other added support products other than that. What aspiring entrepreneurs lack at most is emotional intelligence, financial literacy, sound compliance guidance and self prepping programmes atop of passion and business idea before finance and mentorship.

Mentoring someone with money already in hand is a recipe for failure as the person should have been capacitated beforehand. A business depends first on the persona of its runner before all else brought to the fore. Mentorship is only effective as a side-kick support not as a core tool.

_Odd presenter out

As the presentation went on, one of the presenters uttered some somewhat disturbing words. What he said was that: “they do not give loans to immoral businesses such as brothels and taverns”. For me, that was wrong of him to say, given the platform and the setting. Please people don’t get me wrong, but in business any income generating concern is viewed as a business in spite of its model. There's absolutely no need to judge other income generating concerns, especially as a speaker from an institution that is claiming to be in the business of growing other businesses. It sent a mixed message to be real. Given the environment, the negativity was just not a welcome and he did that sans anyone on the panel correcting that of him.

As a representative of an institution his message should be about the products they offer, their terms and conditions and criterion in a softer manner of approach, and not judge. If I am into the business of adult entertainment, should I be classified as immoral? If yes, then, what about my clientele? The same goes to the tavern owner. If you feel negative about something, as a leader you ought to have a sensitive way of sending your discomfort to those offenders sans hurting other people's feelings.

Being there in front of entrepreneurs they should be encouraging them, building their esteems and instilling the spirit of possibility, not crushing their hopes and dreams like the way that man botched them. Opportunity bringers do criticize but does so with informed pointers that leave opportunity seekers with an angle to work around.

It was not all bad as other presenters gave good presentations albeit with dodgy answers to some important posed questions. What some felt was that they did not prepare enough for the presentation but thankful yet for having taken the initiative to come and inform them of their presence in the province and what they had to offer.

In conclusion: it takes a million lives to gather respect you deserve_when people see your kind, some of them would run a mile…’ the late Reggae icon Lucky Dube said in his song “Teach the world”. This is directed to the odd presenter out who got too comfortable after being lended some ears and ended up almost ruining his organization’s good name and intentions. I'm thinking of him because of the situation governments the world over are finding themselves in, joblessness stats keep rising whilst solutions aren't coming in fast enough to counter the scourge. Please treat those employment creators with the level of respect and courtesy they deserve. Funders, teach your representatives right, to make them spread the message of alive with posibilities further...dp

[Discriminatory quota system a necessity]

Blow the candle if you can, but the truth shall remain still illuminated in the smog of dim. The issue of quota a lushy hemp to smoke in court. The quota system has been at the centre of countless activities in many an organisation, with sports leading the fray, business in follow, and various institutions making up the chunky remainder.

A pop-in into any sector, stats are used and quotas make part thereof. The subject of quota has for long been a taboo to many territories and to date remains under carpet. We can't shy away from the fact that we are different as a people, and that from that difference lies a number, and in the makeup, quota has a place. Quota is a discriminatory rule method as a system in that it is used to cut others out, but sadly as a must for the purpose of control and beneficiation, a measure that has to be deployed in the process unfortunately.

Discrimination could be cited above reasonable purpose to justify a cry for racism, sexism, xenophobia, tribalism, and many other categorisations like age, education, financial status, religion, etc, as usable negatives to win arguments. Quota is a fixed number or amount in percentage that constitute an assigned minority versus majority in opportunity limitation, and it's plainly straight as that. But then again, in all total honesty, in order to rule in harmony one leaves a trail behind of casualties and same occurs with quota. To level the playing fields you always have those collecting the wounds to showcase.

Though not neutral and perfect, quotaism is a good system that but some use to destroy dreams, passions and aspirations of others through to demonize it. Hate it not, rather look at it with you in its majority makeup and with no power to fight except its enforcement in your favour. Yes, if find yourself in the minority it's tough but look at it again as a necessary means of regulation needed to be observed and put in place for a reason instead of disparaging it.

In conclusion: think of typically the number of foreigners in a company, with 70% of them being the majority whereas the locals making up 30%. How will it feel if you don't get afforded a chance at employment because of a foreigner being favoured? And worse, be that the employer emphasize that they undercut the minimum wage tabled by the ministry of labour, thus making sense for any owner of a business. Then, when quota is applied, it switches the norm and turn the tide around by requiring locals make up the majority of labour force and the foreigners be in the minority. It's fair yet discriminatory, exclusionary and to some extent, yes, racist, but a just move with reasonable grounds when enforced in good faith. Therefore, however we may argue its harshness it but necessitates the fairness that's needed in any society, entity and otherwise as a balancing act...dp

[Hope is capital]

'Life is a concept, give it your idea of self and navigate through its many assigned courtesy routings in your path' [1]. This takes me to the paramount element of life, which is hope, shortened as "have open plan everyone" by this old man I once had sat next to in a minibus on a short trip one day. I never forgot that, it at times come back when times are a bit tough for me.

We at times mislead ourselves in the choices we decide upon in our paths, and end up frustrating our hopes. Of all things that keeps people glued together, no matter what their relation is between them, is hope and love. It may be out of common interest or any other reason, but, it is hope that gets us by as long as there's an end goal in the course. Hope is capital, hope gives shape to deportment in living beings, yet steals no straps of shine. We hope before many other wishes, we hope everyday.

'Hope gives life a promissory stand' [2]. Powerful as may the statement in ring to thought, but cold a truth to the gold pain is to the plated treasure reality in evidence is. If you don't have experience of hope, then chances are you are depriving self the rudimental benefit of knowing bitter sweet hurt, reserved room for disappointment, commonal wish convergence, that sole corner of your condition to your amen. To have hope is a mixed feelings affair that though one can't survive the thrive train without. You just have to be there to be in the thick of its active non-positive passive sentiment.

In conclusion: 'it encompasses internecine aleatoric mutuality, but not above all else, yet commonly first to break of thought in almost all; and that's hope' [3]. Day by day we live by it, and we fall by it,  because it affords the mind that feeling of pro-certainty. One important aspect of it is that it limits no heart to its hold. Nothing is as democratic as hope, hence it is capital...dp

[Bespoke is luxury re-experienced]

Time and again, most of us only hear about bespoke, we actually don’t know the feeling of it. In truest application, bespoke is rarely enjoyed as it’s for the select few who have endowed pockets, to put it bluntly; whereas luxury is a tailored feeling, an experience personalized, looking special, and made to civilly know who you are individually in nestled flippancy of expansive opulence. Bespoke is you, by them, for you; bespoke is cut out of what you’ve carved of self in the epitome shape of success.

The world is divided in two living standards, the have nots and the haves, and there’s nothing we can do about it in that it’s either you have or have not, and that not referring to sole confines of corporeal material things but also to intellect and your whole being, in that you have to think in gross and exude net opportune levity. As a person, you have to exist in one category and unfortunately if you fall into the majority are living a languid default type of life cast. Anything minority is exclusive, aspirational and treated as elite, and so should you be.

Having money is known by everyone but not enjoyed by just anyone. When you have money, you go through life laps in different lanes unfamiliar as others. The refined unfairness of life to the have nots is the discomforting fact that the moneyed pay less for leverage because they pay more for benefit, thus they’re made to experience their uphill status. Convenience, dignity, privilege, all fall from the basket filled with choice for the moneyed, reason simply being that they aren’t many and are easier to manage. What they get accustomed to is specificity that’s answered with attention-to-detail volume of diaphanous courtesy by custodians of luxury. In an expensive nutshell, luxury is an investment in premium objects of desire that’re purely targeted at a specific number and type of individuals with high return margins assurance. Luxury is a soft discrimination that offers ethereal safety to the haves because it knows class and market, and to those who knows it, luxury is an open highway statement of affluence. Trust me, to know it in feel of, you just have to attain it.

If are ever to be that lucky to be important for any brand, know you’ve made a mark. It’s not common for a brand to know you by name and do a product with you specifically in their minds. It takes purchasing power to make such happen to your life, and that’s bespoke. There’s no need to chain yourself around certain people as it’ll only deprive you the chance to enjoy your own degree of luxury. Bespoke is about you bringing out yourself and expressed through an object of desire to make it extraordinarily a representation of you. Luxury is about value, and bespoke is about price, so, uncloak your blinded self to rarity.

In conclusion: luxury is when your health matters to the feeling provider and the stakeholder of experience, for them losing you an expensive grind to article. Bespoke is about priced quality that makes you be taken serious, being respected enough to be listened to, being given preferential access, being a priority to others, and being followed out of their own interest for the comfort of your impression to their gain. Luxury is time in your sheer power, luxury is surreal taste acquired, luxury is ability to possess high-ends, luxury is what you leave behind, and luxury is everything you are that’s not everyone, because luxury is celebrated, and so is anything that we’re not yet wish for. Be the reflection of hope and desire, luxury doesn’t go beyond that in most at times; hence bespoke is luxury re-experienced, just that the bottom-line is, not all of us can afford it...dp

[Who's in charge of your thoughts?]

At times one asks themselves whenever witnessing some of the things that do happen around us. It may be by a crowd, a group or an individual. How people behave is very much questionable to say the least. But, one thing I wish they do always before they act, is think. People of late do things without first thinking their prior actions through, and that a certainty of bad to be come the end result.

The power of politicians, brandfluencers, celebrities and media sensationalism agents, make a large mixed bag of elements to blame for the shameless social ills we're faced up with daily. The level of justification for wrongful deeds a serious stuff of concern for me. It may be argued that the behaviour is stemming from a figure of authority or influence wielder, but people need to think and analyse to see the implications of each of the calls they answer to.

I recall one African parliamentarian recommending compulsory programme for political deployees to help kerb the rate of wreckless statements uttered by politicians in their country, and now for me a must for any person of public interest. The reason for what that man was meaning was that, the abuse of one's influence. The platform is afforded to fools who use it to advance hate, racial tensions, economic sabotages, anything that's against the growth and development of economies. Those counter-sentiments needs to be scrutinized for their origin.

Be careful of what you run with, there're elements in society that're ever on campaign push of sort and if not awoke could leave you battered with your dignity and social stance in tatters.

In conclusion: truth is, thoughts are either from the utterer as the source or from the utterer as a conveyor from the source, and once that's established can we then be certain what to do in tackling the statement of utter. Each said statement is like that, originally yours or taken from somewhere. And, whenever encountering any negative or positive vibes from an utterer should question the target, the purpose, the impact, and everything will be well dealt with accordingly.

But then, where there's action accompanying those sentiments, what to do? It ain't easy but with origination in the light can that be neutralized. If the element is the source then it's direct, and engagement is quicker whereas with the conveyor a time consuming process that but at last to engage with the source. The challenge is, when one does something, they ought to ask selves what they want to achieve with the action effected. Also, they should ask who's benefit will it be thereafter, 'cause at the end of the day it's the source in charge of your thoughts that we engage not the conveyor thereof.

Avoid the harshness that hits your emotion and physique by interrogating your thoughts before put to action. Do as you think, not as the other does, that'll guarantee you charge of your thoughts. If are to move with someone else's thought, should be well aware of the intent for that and the consequence. Cease being used, be in touch with control of your thoughts and actions for they complete the you we engage with, we judge, and conclude on. So, be in charge of yourself...dp
